Through our Teen Fine Art Classes, we welcome all students at all skill levels! Any students aiming to pursue art education at the college level will be guided in preparing a college-ready portfolio. Many of our students and alumni have achieved recognition, winning awards in both local and national art contests. In this supportive and stimulating environment, teen artists will enhance their artistry using a variety of advanced techniques.

Our program teaches teens basic to advanced level essential drawing and pencil techniques, charcoal methods, and advanced portraiture with realistic and 3D effects. They’ll also learn shading for lifelike portraits and develop textures for dynamic artwork. In character design, students create unique characters for comics and games, applying color theory effectively.

The curriculum includes digital and traditional illustration, teaching techniques with digital art tools, watercolor, and intermediate acrylics. Students will practice advanced color mixing, layering, and glazing with acrylics for textured effects, along with advanced watercolor techniques and the basics of oil painting. They will also engage in sculpting with clay and plaster, exploring both realistic and abstract forms. This broad approach equips teens with the diverse skills needed for college-level art studies and beyond.
